Booking an expert, step by step.
Six steps, about two minutes. Find someone vetted, pick a time in your own timezone, and talk face-to-face in your browser — no proposals, no ticket threads, no waiting for a reply.
From a search box to a conversation.
Find the right person
Open Browse experts and pick your field — every category has its own page with subcategories underneath. If nobody there fits, request an expert and describe who you need; a human reads every request.
Read the profile properly
Verified means a person here checked their identity and credentials on a video call — it is not a badge you can buy. Anyone using a regulated title has to show the certificate behind it. An expert with no sessions yet says “New here” rather than borrowing a rating.
Pick a time in your timezone
Experts publish their hours in their own timezone; the calendar converts every slot into yours and prints the offset next to the time, so nothing is ambiguous. Choose 30 or 60 minutes, then a day, then a time. Most experts ask for at least an hour of notice.
Confirm the booking
Sign in with Google in one tap, or ask for a one-time email link — there is no password. Before you confirm you see the expert’s rate, our 10% service fee and the total, and you can leave a note so they arrive prepared.
The minute after
Your booking appears under Your bookings with the time written in your own timezone, and your note goes straight to the expert. The slot is yours — the database itself refuses to give one time to two people.
Join the call
At the appointed time, open the booking and join. The call runs in your browser — no app, no download, nothing to install on a phone. Allow the camera and microphone once and you are face-to-face.
Where we are right now
We are opening with a founding class of experts, and three parts of the machine are still being switched on. Rather than hide that, here it is.
No card, no charge
Card payments are not switched on yet. Every booking made during the launch preview is free and no card details are collected — the prices on a profile are what a session will cost once payments go live.
Confirmation emails are coming
Reminder and confirmation emails are still being wired up. Until they are, Your bookings is the place to check — it is always the source of truth for the time and the status.
The call room is the last piece
The in-browser video room is the part we are switching on right now. If your call is booked before it lands, write to hello@expertsglobe.com and we will arrange the connection by hand.
If plans change.
Cancelling
Open the booking and press cancel. Either side can, right up until the session would have ended, and nothing is charged — the other person sees the cancellation on their side straight away.
Rescheduling
There is no reschedule button yet. Cancel the booking and pick a new time from the same calendar; during the preview that costs nothing either way.
If your expert doesn’t show up
Tell us at hello@expertsglobe.com and we take it up with them. Nothing is charged today, and the rule when payments go live is the plain one: if your call doesn’t happen, you don’t pay.
What an expert can do.
A call here is a consultation: a professional looks at your actual situation and tells you what they think, live, with your questions in the room. You can ask them to review work, sanity-check a plan, teach you the thing you keep getting wrong, or tell you what they would do.
It is not licensed practice. No diagnosis, no prescriptions, no therapy, no legal representation, nobody managing your money. If your case needs a licensed professional in your own country, a good expert will say so on the call.

When you need someone now.
An expert who is free at this moment can flag themselves available now. While that flag is up, the usual hour of notice drops to the lead time they set — around five minutes — so you can book a call that starts almost immediately.
Use it for the thing that cannot wait until tomorrow: a contract you have to sign today, a bug in production, a decision before a meeting. For anything you would rather they prepared for, book a normal slot and leave a note.
How it behaves
- You will see a chip. A green “available now” marker on the card and the profile — if it isn’t there, the expert isn’t sitting ready.
- The calendar opens up. Instead of the usual 60-minute minimum notice, the next slots start within minutes.
- It expires by itself. The flag carries an end time, so nobody is ever shown as available because they forgot to switch it off.
- Be ready to talk. Only book it if you can genuinely join in five minutes — somewhere quiet, camera and microphone working.
The usual questions.
- Do I need an account?
- To confirm a booking, yes. Sign in with Google in one tap, or ask for a one-time link by email — there is no password to remember.
- What does a call cost?
- The expert sets their own rate for 30 or 60 minutes and we add a 10% service fee; you see the rate, the fee and the total before you confirm. During the launch preview nothing is charged.
- When do I pay?
- Not yet — card payments are still being switched on, and no card is taken today. When they go live you will pay at booking, and the expert is paid after the call has actually happened.
- Which timezone are the times in?
- Yours. Every slot is converted from the expert’s calendar into your device’s timezone, with the offset printed next to it so a time can never be read two ways.
- What if I’m running late?
- The slot is held for the whole session, so join as soon as you can. If you already know you cannot make it, cancel instead so the expert is not left waiting.
- Is the call recorded?
- No — nothing is recorded, so take your own notes. Confidentiality runs both ways: accepting a written undertaking is part of an expert going live here.
- Can I book someone in another country?
- Yes — that is rather the point. Check the languages listed on their profile, and say where you are early in the call, because regulated subjects like law and tax are country-specific.
- There is no expert in my field yet
- Use “Request an expert” and describe the person you need. Requests are read by a human and they decide who we go and recruit next — you get an email when that person is on board.
